Linda Ronstadt would chart of thirty singles from 1967 through 1990 and sell millions of singles and albums. “
Blue Bayou” is a certified million selling Platinum hit and remake of the
Roy Orbison classic from 63’. Ronstadt would go on to find a more success in the early 90s with more traditional standard music and Mexican heritage songs and duets with
Aaron Neville and
James Ingram. She would appear on Broadway and in the movie version of Pirates of Penzance. Her backing band in 1971 consisted of Glen Frey,
Don Henley, Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon who would later become the
Eagles.
