Country music band Lonestar hails from their home state of Texas even though they began their career in Tennessee. Originally called Texassee, the band consists of Richie MacDonald, Michael Britt, Keech Rainwater and Dean Sams.
They went on tour and eventually landed a deal with BNA Records where they released Lonestar. Lonestar featured “Tequila Talkin’”, a single that reached number 8 on the Hot Country Charts in 1995 and “No News” which reached number 1 in 1996 on the US Country Music Charts.

tured their second number one single “Come Cryin’ To Me.” The third album was Lonely Grill. The single “Amazed” from Lonely Grill hit number one on the Billboard Top 100 and the Hot Country Songs. The band also released This Christmas Time, I’m Already There, From Here to There- The Greatest Hits, Let’s Be Us Again, Coming Home, and Mountains. I’m Already There and The Greatest Hits went platinum and Let’s Be Us went gold.
Lonestar has been creating beautiful country music together since 1992. Together, they have released many successful albums and singles. Although their contract with BNA Records is up this year, the band will continue to release country music that America loves.
