With her smooth voice and catchy club beats, Lumidee has emerged as a potential hip hop and R&B diva who has already won the respect of fellow artists and the love of fans everywhere. Lumidee's full 13-track album Almost Famous came out in stores on June 2003 and, within two months, had already sold over 200,000 copies. "Never Leave You" became the summer's premiere hit and Lumidee began toured extensively to promote the album. Her second album, Unexpected, was released on Universal Germany and TVT Records in the USA in April 2007, and contained such hit Lumidee songs as “She’s Like the Wind” and “Crazy.”. Lumidee stated in an interview, "I'm coming out of left field. Nobody ever thought of me coming back on a street credible label like TVT, alongside acts like Pitbull, Lil Jon and the Ying Yang Twins.
