The German dance pop duo
Modern Talking was a major hit in the 80s and would break up only to be reunited for the second part of their laudable career in the late 90s, into the new millennium. Modern Talking was formed in Berlin in early 1983 by

With 1986's Ready for Romance, Modern Talking scored their biggest hit with "Brother Louie.” At the height of their fame, however, Bohlen and Anders squabbled and officially broke up in 1987.

The updated You're My Heart, You're My Soul '98 was released, featuring raps by Eric Singleton. Sales soared like in the mid 80s and it went straight to number 1 in many countries (such as Israel). The remix album Back For Good was a huge success achieving platinum status almost instantaneously. The duo’s next singles entered the charts on high position and so did the 8th album Alone. After their twelfth album together, tensions again arose between to the two stars and they split once again in 2003. In his second book Hinter den Kulissen (Behind The Curtains), Dieter Bohlen called Thomas Anders greedy, lazy, and scrupulous and claimed that Thomas Anders "
