record sold two-million copies and Poison rode the glam-band wave of success.
In 1987 Poison released their second album called Open Up & Say…Ah! in 1988. This album brought Poison into the starlight with more smash hits. “Fallen Angel,” “Nothing But a Good Time,” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” all had huge commercial success. The group then went on tough with David Lee Roth which was one of the biggest tours of the 80’s.
Poison continued making hits with 1990’s Flesh and Blood. Two singles helped Flesh and Blood stay on the top of the charts; “Unskinny Bop,” and “Something to Believe In.” After more successful sales the band released a live album from their tour called Swallow This Live. After this album the band began to fall apart, fighting on stage, and disagreeing in the studio. Drugs and alcohol also became a major problem for the band, sending Deville to rehab. The band released a few more unsuccessful albums but would never see the fame and fortune they had during the 80’s.
