The Pretenders, although formed and based in England, were lead by the gutsy vocals of Akron, Ohio native Chrissie Hynde and were one of the most popular bands of the 80s. "Back On The Chain Gang" was featured in the Jerry Lewis / Robert DeNiro movie The King Of Comedy and was the highest charting single of their career, peaking at the #5 spot in early 1983.
