Reba McEntire Biography |
Reba McEntire was born in 1955 on a ranch in Oklahoma. Growing up around a ranch and having her family being involved in rodeo’s sparked Reba’s interest. Reba wanted to perform at the rodeos so with the help of her siblings they started the group the Singing McEntires. The group’s first hit was with “The Ballad of John McEntire” in 1971. After performing at the National Rodeo Finals in 1974, Reba decided to go solo and signed with Mercury Records.
After signing with Mercury Records, Reba moved to Nashville, Tennessee. In Nashville Reba scored her first top-ten hit Continued...

I think Reba is a great and wonderful person I would love to meet her in person Because It's my one dream I would love to live to see. She is a beautiful looking Lady. I'm not a freak or pervert I just think she is one of the best entertainers we will ever see or here . I just love the new Duet cd I had to buy it. so let Reba know I'm one of her favorite listeners. Reba's music has been with me for more than 25 years, during my trucking career, college and my engineering years working for BMW in Germany.

with 1980’s “You Lift Me Up to the Heaven.” Her first number one single came with “Can’t Even Get the Blues” in 1982. In 1984 Reba won her first Country Music Association award for female vocalist of the year. Reba continued on making hits and even winning a Grammy with Whoever’s in New England, Rumor Has It, For My Broken Heart, It’s Your Call, Rea My Mind, and So Good Together. Reba continues to make music and star on her own television sitcom.
