Rebelution music biography continued...
and guitarists Eric Rachmany and Matt Velasquez, keyboardist Rory Carey, drummer Wesley Finley, and bassist Marley D. Williams, three of which met during music classes at UC Santa Barbara. After massive gigging and the release of an EP, the band's reputation grew outside the college town. Their debut album, Courage to Grow, was released in June of 2007 and became a critical and commercial success, garnering spots on the playlists of several major California radio stations. It was also selected as iTunes Editors Choice for Best Reggae Album of 2007, and peaked at #4 on the reggae album charts. In August 2009 Rebelution followed up with the album Bright Side Of Life, which was released under their newly founded record label 87 Music. With a national tour in support of the album, Rebelution has already shared the stage with notable artists such as The Offspring, 311, Slightly Stoopid, Willie Nelson, Damian Marley, Bob Dylan and Ludacris.
