Female Vocalist and a Platinum-selling recording artist is a woman who is deeply spiritual, but also has an occasionally off-color sense of humor. Sara Lynn Evans was born on February 5, 1971 in New Franklin, Missouri. Music was a part of her life at an early age; by five she was singing every weekend in her family's band. Early chart topping Sarah Evans songs included "Born to Fly," "Suds in the Bucket," and "I Could Not Ask For More." In successive years, the hits only kept coming for Evans—in 2006 R&R announced that she was Female Vocalist of the Year by a Reader's Poll.
