Shocking Blue: Venus- # 1- In early 1970 this Dutch quartet hit the number one spot on the charts with their first North American release. They truly became a "one -hit " wonder as the next two singles would fail to crack the Top 40 and they would be gone before the year was over. In 1986 the all female trio Bananarama would take the song back to the top again with their version of Venus, also their only # 1 hit.
