Sir Mix-A-Lot music biography continued...
hit single, "Baby Got Back", Sir Mix-a-lot had already released 3 successful albums. The albums were entitled Swass (1988), Seminar (1989), and Mack Daddy (1992). By the time "Baby Got Back" was awarded a Grammy in 1993, the song had already propelled Sir Mix-a-lot to world fame. While "Baby Got Back" was still experiencing world-wide popularity, Sir Mix-a-lot released an additional four albums. These albums are entitled Chief Boot Knocka (1994), Return of the Bumpasaurus (1996), Beepers, Benzos, & Booty: The Best of Sir Mix-a-lot (2000), and his final album Daddy's Home (2003).
Over the years, most of Sir Mix-a-lot's work has been over shadowed by his most famous song of all, "Baby Got Back". His hit single is still widely popular with much of the youth in America, and has managed to outlive the popularity of the artist as the song has been accepted by a new generation of teens.
