was fronted by a rotating cast of singers and rappers. In 1990, they came out with the dance floor anthem "The Power," which made them sensations worldwide practically overnight. Snap's fame was strengthened by the succession of hits that followed - "Oops Up," "Cult Of Snap" and "Mary Had A Little Boy"—which powered their debut album, World Power, to a huge success. It ultimately went on to become one of the best-selling albums in dance music history, selling over 7 million copies. Snap's second album, 1992's The Madman's Return, produced another number one smash with "Rhythm Is A Dancer," featuring the vocals of Thea Austin. One year later the follow-ups "Exterminate," then "Do You See The Light," featuring Niki Harris, also sold millions. In 1994, amidst dissention in the group, Snap released the single "Welcome to Tomorrow," which reach #6 in the UK. They followed it up with an album of the same name, which peaked in the UK at #12, but was not released in the U.S. In 1996 the group was officially disbanded, with a greatest hits compilation called Snap! Attack: The Best of Snap! released, preceded by a new version of their first hit "The Power," which added luster to the group's now fading reputation.

Snap made a surprise return in 2000 with "Gimme A Thrill", complete with a rap from Turbo B and vocal from the band's newest addition Maxayn. Unfortunately it failed to chart and a proposed album called One Day on Earth was never released. A new version of "Do You See the Light" remixed by Plaything was released in 2002, peaking at number 14 in the UK. The following year, a new remix album called The Cult of Snap! was released and further singles were issued, updating them for a new generation of clubbers. Buoyed by the success of the remixes, Münzing and Anzilotti went back into the studio with male singer Damien Behanan, also known as Loc, who ultimately released a new version of "Rhythm is a Dancer," which became a club hit all over again.
