Method subsequently made their way to the rave scene in Los Angeles where they were welcomed into the underground club culture. With some strong demos in hand, the pair were singed to the City of Angeles label in 1994, and came out with the single, "Keep Hope Alive" soon after. The tune became an anthem among Rave aficionados and Crystal Method's popularity as a club act and on the radio led to a deal with Geffen imprint Outpost Recordings in 1996. The group's debut LP, Vegas blended funk, acid, rock and hip hop into one party-oriented brew and sold exceedingly well for an electronica album busting into the Billboard 200 and eventually going platinum. Vegas made The Crystal Method one of the most popular electronic bands, and in 1999, the band went into the studio to record their next studio album. The outcome, 2001's Tweekend, featured a remarkably larger number of guest vocalists and artists than Vegas and reached even higher into the Billboard 200, peaking at #32. With that, it became the duo's highest charting album to date, and signified The Crystal Method's breakthrough to mainstream audiences.



The Crystal Method continued to record in the early 00's, and in 2005, put together a movie soundtrack for the American relationship film, London. Only a few months after the release of the London Soundtrack, The Crystal Method got an offer from Nike to record a mix album, made to exercise to. Drive: Nike + Original Run was released onto iTunes in June 2006 and peaked at # 23 on the electronic albums chart. In 2007, on the tenth anniversary of Vegas, The Crystal Method released a Deluxe Edition of Vegas, which was a double album, with the first disc containing the original Vegas and the second various remixes of songs from the original album, a music video for the song "Comin' Back", and a live performance of "Vapor Trail." In 2008, the duo built their own state-of-the-art recording studio in Los Angeles, California, and called it Crystalwerks. All future Method albums will be recorded there, and fans can hardly wait.
