off from her successful solo career to work with friend and touring backup performer Jessica Harp, a singer/songwriter who was a fixture in Nashville. The duo debuted in 2004, performing "Good Kind" on the WB teen drama One Tree Hill. "Good Kind" then appeared on the show's official soundtrack issued in 2005. Maverick Records and Warner Bros. Nashville jointly released the Wreckers' full-length debut, Stand Still, Look Pretty, in 2006. The first single, "Leave the Pieces," reached No. 1 on Billboard's country airplay chart, while the CD as a whole reached No. 14 on the album chart. The Wreckers were nominated for "Vocal Duo of the Year" at the 40th Annual CMA Awards, but lost to Brooks & Dunn. In December 2006 The Wreckers were nominated for a Grammy Award for "Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" for "Leave the Pieces." The duo followed the accolades with the 2007 concert album Way Back Home: Live from New York City. The duo has since stated that their next recording projects will be solo albums. Jessica Harp has stated that they will indeed continue The Wreckers as a side project, but solo albums are what "feels right" for now. Even if they never get back to performing together, Branch and Harp have left a considerable musical legacy in their short time performing together.
