Tito El Bambino music biography continued...
5, 1981, Tito teamed up with partner Hector in 1996 to form a reggaeton duo that quickly became well-known in their native Puerto Rico. With such hit songs as "Amor de Colegio" (which introduced Don Omar), "Felina", "Baila Morena" (which featured Glory), and "No Le Temas a Él", Hector & Tito became one of the most sought after duos in the genre. They became the first reggeaton artists to sell out a massive concert in Puerto Rico, opening the path to other artists such as Tego Calderón, Daddy Yankee, Don Omar, and Wisin & Yandel. Hector & Tito soon captured the world's attention, made reggeaton a popular genre, and reached the top of the charts in several countries, winning the Latin Billboard Award and several other accolades along the way. Hector & Tito split up in 2004, and Tito went out on his own, releasing the album Top of the Line in 2006. The album was a hit, reaching #1 in Puerto Rico. The album featured 20 new songs, with collaboration from artists such as Daddy Yankee, Don Omar and Beenie Man, and spawned such hits as "Caile", "Mía" (with Daddy Yankee), "Tu Cintura" (with Don Omar) and "Flow Natural" (with Beenie Man and Deevani). Top of the Line was followed by It's My Time (2007) and El Patron (2009), which clearly proved that Tito continues to be a powerful force in on the reggaeton scene.
