Until June music biography continued...
State University in Phoenix and headed to Los Angeles to a make their dreams come true. There, they hooked up with drummer Daniel Dempsey and bassist Chris Foley. Together, they self-produced and released several EPs and played many shows in the Hollywood area, as the band Juune, sparking some interest by Capitol Records. However, no deal was forthcoming and the band gave themselves until June 2005 to be discovered, or give up. In late Summer 2005, Juune signed to Flicker Records/Sony BMG. Due to legal concerns, the name Juune was changed to Until June in honor of the deadline the band had originally set. Their self-titled debut LP, featuring Josh on keys and vocals, Dan on guitar, Daniel on drums, and Chris Foley on bass, was released in April 2007. The best known tune off the album was "What I've Done", which hit the Top 10 songs on CHR chart and was used for ABC's "Private Practice" television show and ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" season 3 DVD. The song "Sleepless" was featured on Oseven: The Year's Best Christian Rock Hits along with Skillet, Pillar, Jars Of Clay, Krystal Meyers, and many other notable Christian rock artists. "We would love to think that we are making music that will change the world," Dan Ballard has said, "but we are more concerned with letting it all out than writing pop hits. This music is our everything, and we have lived it. We want people to know that on the record, as well as at shows, we are 100% about spilling our guts. We just want people to feel what we feel." So far, it seems they are.
