Just saw them in Worcester, MA. They still kick ASS! Eddie is still inovative, Alex amaxingly strong, David never sounded better, and Wolfie hold his own, but is no Michael Anthony. Even so, They ROCKED THE JOINT!

Though their line-up changed over the years due to inter-band squabbling, Van Halen eventually earned the Guinness Book of World Records title for the most number one hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, Van Halen is number 19 on the list of top selling artists of all time (having sold more than 56 million albums in the U.S.) and is one of only five rock groups that have had two albums sell more than 10 million copies in the U.S. The band and its best known former members were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 12, 2007.
After the band stopped recording as a group, Roth and Sammy Hagar, the vocalist who succeeded him, pursued successful solo careers, and toured together in 2002. Hagar and Anthony teamed up for a 2006 summer tour. Until recently Eddie Van Halen has been somewhat reclusive, undergoing hip replacement and cancer surgery, and a divorce from his wife of 21 years, actress Valerie Bertinelli. In July 2007 the press reported that a reunion tour with David Lee Roth on vocals was in the offing. Van Halen started their first tour in 23 years in September 2007. Fans agreed that they were as vital as ever.
