No one knows how to party better than the Vengaboys, a Dutch pop dance group that evolved out of dance parties held on the beaches of Ibiza, Spain in the 90s. Originally, "The Vengaboys" was a working name for the two DJ's (Danski and DJ Delmundo) who were touring with their school bus across Spain from 1992 to 1997. . Kim, Denice, Robin and Roy began a successful European tour while Danski and Delmundo locked themselves in the studio to work on their beats. The group soon came up with the single “Up and Down” which became tremendously successful and sparked the interest of the major record companies. The Vengaboys, however, wanted to retain creative control and went with an independent dance label. Their follow-up single, 1998’s "We like to Party (The Vengabus)" went Platinum in Europe and they were on their way.
Over the years, the band has been comprised of an international mélange of performers hailing from countries as diverse as Brazil, Hungary, Trinidad and Tobago, the Netherlands, and Spain. Some of the most successful Vengaboys’ songs include "Uncle John from Jamaica", "We're Going to Ibiza", "Boom Boom Boom Boom", "We Like to Party", "Kiss (When the Sun Don't Shine)", "Cheekah Bow Bow (That Computer Song)" and "Shalala Lala". The song "We Like to Party" was played in Busch Stadium after the final out of the 2006 World Series, which was broadcast on Fox, bringing the group a large audience in the United States. The V in their name is pronounced with a soft "B" sound, so that it is pronounced like "Bengaboys". And if they don’t get you up and moving nothing else will.
