Wayne "The
Train" Hancock is an alternative country favorite born May 1, 1965 in
Texas. Hancock began writing songs at an early age and eventually one a major talent contest at 18. His musical career was sidetracked by a stint in the military, but when he got out of the Marine Corp, Hancock started writing and performing again and his debut album, Thunderstorms and Neon Signs was released on a small independent label in 1995. Hancock is known for wanting to preserve country traditions, at the same time imbuing his songs with such passion that they never seem old. H
