We The Kings music biography continued...

his bassist brother Drew Thomsen, and drummer Danny Duncan -- first met at Martha B. King Middle School in Bradenton, Florida. Taking their name in 2007 from their school, the band first starting promoting their music on social networking Web sites like MySpace and PureVolume. The online buzz led to a deal with S-Curve Records, a subsidiary of group signed to S-Curve Records, who issued their debut self-titled album in October 2007. The album peaked at #3 on Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart and #151 on the Billboard 200. They toured relentlessly in support of the album and were featured on several television programs, raising their profile throughout the country. Up for several video music awards in 2008, including Best Pop Video, Best Rock Video, Best New Artist, and Video of the Year, We The Kings seem poised to be one of the 21st Century's greatest power pop bands.
