Westlife followed the tradition of many British and Irish boy bands before them. The group consists of Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Bryan McFadden, Mark Feehily, and Kian Egan. The Irish boy band was formed in 1998 after signing with Simon Cowell. The group’s first success came with 1999’s “Flying Without Wings.” In 2000 the group again released number one singles with “Season in the Sun” and “Swear it Again”
