@RedMileBlog Wouldn't not having that massive cap waste be value enough? On a serious note, yeah, I'd rather see a solid top6 winger.

Winger music biography continued...

Paul Taylor, all of whom had played in Alice Cooper, along with drummer Rod Morgenstein. The debut album, Winger, was released in August 1988 on Atlantic Records and yielded several hit singles including "Madalaine", "Seventeen", "Headed for a Heartbreak", and "Hungry." The record achieved platinum status and led to a 1990 American Music Award for "Best New Heavy Metal Band". Shortly after touring, Winger released their second album, In the Heart of the Young, which went double platinum in the U.S. and spawned such hits as "Can't Get Enuff", "Miles Away" and "Easy Come Easy Go". Winger supported the album with a thirteen month tour, playing over 230 dates with Kiss, Scorpions, ZZ Top, Extreme and Slaughter. The marathon trek led to Paul Taylor's exit and the recording of 1993's Pull by a three-man outfit. Both the album and subsequent tour were dismissed by critics and fans alike, and the band split up to pursue other musical interests.

In 2001, all original members of the band returned to the studio to record the song "On the Inside" for The Very Best of Winger. In 2002, all 5 members, including Taylor's replacement, John Roth, embarked on a reunion tour of the US and Canada on a bill with Poison, but they once again disbanded afterwards. In 2006, the band's 1993 touring line-up (minus Paul Taylor but including John Roth) re-united to record the band's first studio album in over 13 years, IV. The band has since toured in support of the album, exposing a new generation of listeners to the pop metal sound.
