ing the national anthem for exotic dancers everywhere. The Ying Y ang Twins’ full-length debut album, Thug Walkin', appeared later in 2000. Alley...Return of the Ying Yang Twins from 2002 sold well down South, but it was the duo's 2003 team-up with
Lil Jon -- "the
King of Crunk" -- that brought them nationwide success. The party anthem "Salt Shaker" was a massive club and radio hit and soon had the TVT label chasing the duo. After they signed with the label, the Twins released
Me and My Brother, which contained such hit Ying Yang Twins songs as “Naggin,” humorously showcasing the problems caused by hyper-sensitive women, and “Grey Goose,” a salute to the rappers’ favorite drinks, as well as serious tunes like “Calling All Zones.” The album was certified platinum on April 12, 2005.
A new Twins album, U.S.A. (United State of Atlanta), was released in the summer of 2005, with singles like "Wait (The Whisper Song)", "Badd", and "Shake," dominating urban radio. A collection of outtakes, remixes, and collaborations similar to My Brother & Me followed in December 2005. It too was accompanied by a DVD featuring music videos and other footage from the U.S.A. (United State of Atlanta) period. The group's fifth album, Chemically Imbalanced, was released in November 2006. For this album the Twins collaborated with producers
Wyclef Jean and
Jerry 'Wonder' Duplessis in addition to Mr Colliark. The first two singles were the Hall & Oates-sampling "
Dangerous", featuring Wyclef Jean, and "Jigglin'" That the Ying Yang Twins’ versatility is testimony to their talent for giving fans exactly what they want-an eternal musical party.
