cording along with the rest of the Cash Money Crew. Buck met 50 Cent while he was rapping with the Cash Money crew in New York City, and soon found himself signed to the G-Unit label. 50 Cent gave Young Buck a feature on his commercially successful debut Get Rich or Die Tryin' album on the track "Blood Hound.” In 2004, Young Buck released his debut album, Straight Outta Cashville, which went on to also be certified 2x Platinum. Young Buck's second album, Buck the World was released worldwide in March 2007, its title a play on the expression "Fuck the World.” It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. In 2008, he released Product of the South, another chart topping album.

Throughout his career Young Buck has been involved in many controversies. In 2004, he was charged with felony assault for an incident at the VIBE awards, but struck a deal to avoid doing time in jail. He’s also had public feuds with several other rap stars, including The Game, Lil Wayne and DJ Khaled, trading insults in the press and in song lyrics. But whatever your personal opinion of Young Buck is, there’s no denying that he is one of the south’s greatest young hip hop stars. Says Young Buck of his fame: “I've been illegal for so long you understand? Just to do something that I'd love to do, and it’s legal. It drew my attraction because I've got a true love for the music before the money. So if I can do something I love and make money I'm with it.” His fans are with it, too.
