Josh Groban brings his majestic, yet intimate voice to the Noche De Paz mp3, making this rendition of the holiday classic both universal and personal. Josh's high tenor/ low baritone voice is perfection, and the song arrangement is logical and pleasing. The intro music on "Silent Night" is also superbly "spatial", clear and sparse and creates a sense of standing in quiet reverence while looking at a starry night.
This track was off Josh’s phenomenally successful holiday CD, Noel, which smashed a lot of sales records for holiday records. And it’s no wonder. Josh is at home with both the classic and traditional like “Silent Night” and the contemporary, like “I’ll Be Home for Christmas.” Producer David Foster’s arrangement is sometimes a tad overblown, but it still manages to capture the musical miracle that is Josh Groban.

While it's not quite "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" or "Deck the Halls," the Season's Greetings mp3 makes for a great holiday offering, with a bright acoustic guitar, steady ringing bells and even some lead guitar licks you could swear were played by a snowman. Warm and inviting, the Robbers' merriment pulses through the tune and once the eggnog starts flowing, everyone joins in for a merry finale, singing "We're sending season's greeting from our house to yours."
Interestingly, "Season's Greetings" is a tune originally penned by an unknown American songwriting wannabe, who sent it into a record company hoping to score millions. The tune, however, just became a part of the American Song Poem's anonymous collection of Christmas tunes, which included such other pop culture relics as "Santa Came on a Nuclear Missile" and "Is Santa Really six foot four?" Priceless.

Listening to Katherine McPhee's O Come All Ye Faithful mp3, you realize that some singers come and go without making much of an impression, but that others leave a footprint on your soul forever. That is most certainly the case with McPhee's stirring rendition of this classic Christmas carol, which she performed for the Bush's at Christmas in Washington festivities and at Disneyland's Christmas celebration.
The holiday festivities at the White House also included Internet sensation Colbie Caillat singing "I'll be Home for Christmas and Tenor Andrea Bocelli performing "Adeste Fideles," but it was really the American Idol runner up, McPhee, who stole the show. Reportedly, Happy Xmas is Levine's favorite Christmas song because it has more to say than your typical holiday fare. There's no doubt that everyone will give it a serious listen because of the band's other smash hits, which continue to make their radio rounds on a daily basis. If you're looking to find out what Keith Richards first solo release was, look no further than the Run Rudolph Run mp3. This single, first released in 1978, is a stellar cover of the Chuck Berry tune that is both playful and fun. Although this tune was poorly received when it first came out most people thought Keith's first solo tune was "Talk is Cheap" it stands up incredibly well. | Billy Joel (allegedly) retired from the music world, but that hasn’t stopped him from releasing a new song in time for Christmas…sort of. In an unusual move, Joel wrote “Christmas in Fallujah,” for unknown Long Island singer, Cass Dillon. However, based on the pompous lyrics and cheesy, overblown production, it’s no wonder Joel didn’t want to sing this himself. Headed by Dillon’s faux earnest vocals, the song sounds less like Joel and more like watered down Bon Jovi. As Christmas songs go, this mp3 download may never be a classic, and it’s sentiment as a war protest seems half-hearted.
Joel’s “Christmas in Fallujah” is not to be confused with Jefferson Pepper’s more politically charged 2005 song and album of the same name.
